During Cobra Kai Episode 3 of Season 5, titled “Playing With Fire,” played tribute to a member of its own family that was lost: a man named Jeff Kay. Per MensHealth
The screen fades to black at the conclusion of the episode, following Mike seeing his furniture store burn to the ground, fans received a tribute on screen: “In memoriam, Jeff Kay, 1965-2021”
Jeff Kay was a first assistant director and production manager on Cobra Kai, who suddenly died on October 17, 2021. He was only 56 years old.
